Iris confusa refusing to flower

I hope that you will be able to help me with a problem I have with iris confusa.
I have had a plant for several years now (at least 6) and it has never flowered. I had it in a pot for about 4 years and never potted it on, kept in a cool glasshouse. Good basal leaf growth which got very congested. So two years ago I divided it into small pieces (it made about 30 new plants, which have grown really well, overwintered in cool glasshouse and put outside for the summer. They are in 1 litre pots, and again have put on masses of leaf growth but still no flowers. I have fed and not fed, all to no avail. One plant was planted in my garden and survived last winter and has three strong stalks now with leaves on top and no basal leaves. Still no flowers....
Have you any idea what is going on ???
I would really appreciate some advice.
Many thanks
Gilly

A native of Yunnan, where it grows on steep slopes among rocks and scrub, it flowers in May and is hardy if given some shelter. Do you think your compost and feed is too rich? Spritzhenry may help you with this question why not send a pm?
