moving a cherry tree

We are moving house and want to move the cherry tree which is one year old about 6ft high when is the best time to do this and will it survive

Wrap the rootball in damp hessian or an old sack for the actual move. Keep it well-watered as you do a new shrub for the first year after planting in its new home. Feed it in spring. Good luck!

Just remember that anything growing in the soil in your garden belongs to the house and is sold as part of the sale unless you specifically exclude it from the sale. If not then you could in theory be charged with theft!
