Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillar comes to mind, Milky. Have a look at images of them, amazing things!

I found one on my fuschias a couple of years ago, eating away, but I don't mind as they are so wonderful.

Yes it is a hawk moth.
I have just done a blog on my Hawk moth chrysalis :o)

Isn't it wonderful, I shall go and inspect my fuschias, but don't suppose I shall be lucky enough to see one!
