Plant ID again please. The plant in the photo (which may be upside down) started growing late spring. I didn't plant it so presumably from a bird or carried in . It's the only one in the garden. It's now about 6 ft high with what looks like loads of white flowers all over the branching stems. It looks quite pretty but if it's going to cause problems it'll have to come out before it sets seed. Thanks

It could be Fat Hen.

Yes, I think it's a weed too, but beautifully nurtured.

Looks like Mugwort, Artemisia vulgaris. Have it out!

I agree with Landgirl! Mugwort can be incredibly invasive and persistent.

Now you see I thought it was that, but the last time I identified something very much like that I was overruled in favour of Fat Hen. Can't win sometimes.

Ok all. It's coming out. After getting the fat hen ID I checked it out and decided that though it's edible I don't think it'll be in my diet. Interestingly, wiki also said it was used as a companion plant as it attracted leaf minors from other plants - mainly used in agriculture.

Never mind OldB - I know just how you feel...

How do I say thanks?
