Hi I have peppers and chillis growing in my garden and they have flowered and formed green balls but then they turn black and don't do anything else.
Any ideas?
Thanks

thanks I'll not dig them up yet then! They are only the size of a garden pea though did yours get bigger as they turned?
Thanks

Yes they are about 3 inches long - like Noddey's hat!! There are so many I may have to dry them and store them for use later.

Not sure which part of the country you are in, but we are in the sunny south east and I still found that peppers and chillis only did well outside in a really hot summer. I grow mine in the greenhouse now and always have masses. I think English weather is just too chalenging for them outside.

Another way to keep chillies is to freeze them. They still mantain their fragrance and heat.

Thanks for all the advice, still not sure that mine are going to do anything more, I touched one yesterday and with light pressure it popped like a blackcurrant.................. I'm just going to leave them and see what happens.

« Can anyone say please if there is any real difference between "Tanna"...
I have some in the greenhouse and I thought mine were dying but the black has turned to red and they seem ok.
