Maybe a saxifrage?

Mg. No flowers or any sign of them

Could it be a grapevine? Those leaves look huge!

Unlikely to be a saxifrage if there are no flowers... odd

Hardy Begonia (B. evansiana), or one of its kin? It still would have had flowers last summer, probably.

Hi, this looks to me like Francoa sonchifolia, possibly rogerson's form, Derek.

Could it be Tellima? That's a member of the saxifrage familar.
