Hi everyone, I have a few more plants for you to identify if you don't mind. I moved home nearly a year ago and have a well stocked garden. As you can see from my avatar I am a novice where gardening is concerned and need help.

Top one's a Philadelphus, second one is Leycesteria formosa, third one is a Spiraea, but I'm not sure which variety - it appears to have both flat and cone shaped flowers, which is confusing.

Thank you so much for your help.

Bamboo is absolutely right - as she usually is :)

Still not sure about that Spiraea variety though, Sheilabub - any ideas?

I knew it was Spiraea, Bamboo, but I can't name it - sorry.

Could it be Spiraea "Anthony Waterer" ? It looks very like 3 I have in my garden and previous owners left the label on. (Only reason I know what it is :-) ).

What's difficult is the presence of both flat and cone shaped flowers - S. billiardii has cone shaped flowers, S. bumalda and Anthony Waterer have flat flowers, as do many of the others. If there were just flat flowers, well, yes it could be either of the two mentioned.

one of the 'cone' shaped flowers seems to be a flat one laid on its side.

If that's the case, I'm going for Spiraea bumalda!

How do I say thanks?
