I left lemon seeds on an empty (but full of soil pot) and to my pleasant surprised I got a plant, which flowered and now I have two fruits growing. However they look like peppers instead of lemons. How is that possible? And before I'm asked the question I did not plant any peppers ?. Can anyone share light to this mystery, please.

A seed must have found its way into the compost somehow -that's not a lemon!

Definitely peppers, not lemons--or some of the weird citrus hybrids you get when planting open pollinated seeds!

You may claim to not have planted peppers, but obviously somebody did - unless those hobgoblins are up to no good again. :)
