Strange! Do the foreground leaves belong to the flower?
I thought onion family at first, but the leaves are wrong for that. How about some form of Scabiosa?

I was also thinking 'allium', but not with those leaves.

The flower is definitely a Drumsticks (Allium sphaerocephalon), but I have no idea about the leaves in the background.

Hmmm...I now remember seeing 'Red Mohican' somewhere as a new variety of Drumsticks, but I don't remember where.
