Can anyone identify (can't upload photo) a small , less than an inch long green caterpillar with a tiny black head, firmly adhered at its top half to the leaf of the shrub it is on which has stripped the leaves to their veining? The shrub is probably a weed as I have no idea what it is & was growing randomly until I decided to uproot & plant in a pot and wait to see what it is!!!!

Thank you Seaburn girl. I have absolutely no idea what the plant is...it has no flower or anything other than some very stripped leaves....but nothing else is being eaten so will leave & find out what happens!

it could be a sawfly larvae but with out knowing what the food plant is it could be one of many species of sawfly/moth/butterfly etc.
