Rescued Aster. In need of TLC. I came across this forgotten rather sad looking aster whilst digging up a clump of phlox. Question is how best to give it a second chance, find it a sunny spot in my borders or keep it in my cold frame over winter? Any advice greatly appreciated.

I agree get it in the ground asap. if the roots are very congested tease them apart a bit to help them get going..

Plant it in a suitable spot in the ground asap - by the size of the pot, its got a large root system, despite its inability to produce much topgrowth.
