I have an angles fishing rod/ dierama which has flourished in my front garden but is now getting swamped by nearby plants (jasmin and broom). I need to move it but have read that they don't like this. Any suggestion on when to move it or how? It won't be easy taking a large root ball either as its also near a Rowan tree, so I don't want to damage the tree.

I don't see why you shuldn't be able to move it in spring which is when you would plant new corms.
