Can anyone tell me what this is ? My son apparently trims it down every Winter and gives it a drop of water now and again. Is it worth encouraging ? Growing bigger ?

Hi Hank, it looks like Sedum sieboldii to me, Derek.

Thanks D, and B in my second question. Just hoping for more answers now.

The leaves are perfect but the flowers in the pictures I’ve seen look nothing like ours.

So do I PF, it’s a super little plant.

The plant looks perfectly healthy to me. I don't see any signs of stress. Succulents only need an occasional watering. Let it dry out between waterings. Too much will rot out the roots. Just keep up the regimen. When the pot shatters, you'll know it's time for a new one. Cuttings tend to root quite easily. Just stick them into moist potting soil.
