Last summer I put in a Salvia Victoria Blue Bicolour and now it is begining a second year with me do I need to prune it back to ground level or leave it as it is?

I would cut it back fairly hard, but wait until the danger of any hard frosts is past . . . I’ll do mine around the end of March.

It is quite a small plant right now so I may give it a light prune later this month then see how it developes. Thank you both.

wait until later in March early April and trim it back lightly. remove any brown dead sections.
