Sorry I been away for a while and return with a question, Is the 5 april to late to prune my Purpurea plena elegans clematis , and is there any members in Shropshire take some 12-14 " Koi off my hands fo a song?

Yes it is a bit late, should have been done in winter through to very early spring, but if you haven't unlimited space for it, and you dont want to look at bare stems where last year's growth stopped all summer, you can do it now anyway - it'll just flower much later.
Can't help on the Koi though...
