It is one of the solanum's so it is a nightshade. It looks like the cultivated Potato vine. Its a nice plant so in my mind a keeper.

It's Solanum crispum which is a super climber for covering anything you want out of sight! Mine climbs up through an old Leyalndii hedge and is rampant! This can grow to 6 M but can be pruned to the size you want.

Thanks Honeysuckle,
I'm planning on moving this to different location can you advise on best time to move and cutback? Its lovely and don't want to kill it off!

Hi Steve, I'd wait until it's dormant in late autumn and move it then. In my experience, they are not that easy to move and can take a while to recover. Having said that, it will be easier in Lincs. than in Angus I should think. Lovely plant Solanum crispum 'Glasnevin' I should think. That is the one most often seen in the GCs.

It looks a bit like deadly nightshade. Does it have red berries after flowering?
