Hi.
Has anyone any ideas why my “Orange Dream” japanese acer is not orange anymore? Second year running now. Can anything be done to get it back?
Thanks all

According to the RHS 'Orange Dream' is yellow in spring, yellow/greenish in summer and orange/yellow in autumn.

Thank you. What feed would you recommend?

I have two and both different at the moment but will change over time as Bamboo says. Mine just had a quick swig of liquid seaweed last week. I used that because it's what the lady in the Acer nursery next to me feeds hers with and she has lots of RHS gold medals so can't be bad.

Any particular liquid seaweed? Thanks

My Orange Dream looks exactly the same. It has always been that colour at this time of year. I love mine it’s one of my favourites. Yours is beautiful too, Green but keen.
I’m also very interested in the seaweed feed?

Just liquid seaweed. I'm not sure where I got mine but wouldn't have been expensive. Wilko maybe.

I thought they were only orangish as the new growth developed and then again in the autumn.. I notice it is in a pot when did you last give it a feed? if not this year give it a slow release granular feed if you can.
