Lol Philjeffs! Yes the wild type can get out of hand and soon fill your garden....I have 5 or 6 in my garden which will need removing end of Autumn....thing is the seeds blow like dust and then they sprout up all over again. If yours is the domesticated type, Bamboos right...easy to grow, they like their flowers in the sun though, you should have a garden full of butterflies next summer....:o)

Full sun or part sun, part shade, ordinary garden soil - best if the flowers are in sun though, so can be put in front of a fence where the tops will get sun, if necessary.
