How do I get my Iris confusa to flower? It is in a pot, into which I moved it earlier this year as it was potbound. It has survived two very cold winters, but I am not sure whether I should cut it back hard in the winter, or just cut the leaves off as they die back generally. It flowered for the first couple of years I had it but has not done so for three years now. I feed a general feed, perhaps I should feed something more specific. Should all irises have their leaves cut back in the autumn.

Welcome Patti!
How much earlier this year did you move it? It may have been building up energy this year, and will bloom next spring. This species is semi-tropical and evergreen, so I would just keep on cutting off leaves as they turn yellow. Make sure it is getting enough sun indoors, and I would repot and/or divide every 3 years.
