I had a cherry tree in my yard that was 25 or more years old, it died last year but I have sprouts that came up from the mother tree. Any pointers on taking care of them so that they survive? I want to leave them where they are. Thanks!

welcome to GoY.
have you removed the dead wood or is it still in situ? If still there then in time it will rot away. You could remove soil from around the shoots and cut them away using a sharp knife or secateurs. Then pot them up.
If the dead tree has gone and these are from the roots then select the strongest to survive and remove the others.
