Hello everyone. I suddenly seem to have a lot of this (see photos) in my garden. Any idea what it is please?

Thank you. I won’t dig it out then if it is good for insects and therefore the general health of the garden

A useful guideline is if you like something keep it, if you don't, remove it. Nice thing about these is how good tempered they are as to conditions. Weeds are only plants growing (Usually rampantly)in the wrong place for you.

I also have loads of this, they are well behaved, easy to pull up when they go over - and free. I also have the purchased type of Lamium, just bigger but still purple, could be Maculatum or similar. These little purple ones which I leave are set against the guilt that I feel about digging up the white dead nettle (which the bees also love, and turn up looking for as soon as they are gone!) which are a pain and invasive.
