I have a jasmine officinale and I am unsure how much to prune it. Last year it had very good growth with lots of greenery and flowers, this year has been very poor with almost no growth, few leaves and flowers. How much will I need to prune it and when, in order to get good growth next year?

The best method would be to take out a portion of the long stems each year. This way you'll get flowers on the side shoots of the old stems and new stems will grow. There's usually plenty of growth each year. Yours will be spurred on to producing new growth if you prune a few stems out. You can do this over the winter and train the others shoots onto the supports. give it a feed and a mulch at the same time.
