Flowering hydrangea. As you can see there is a lot of new growth obstructing the lovely pink flowers. Can I cut off the new growth to enjoy the flowers a bit more? Thank you.

You could just nip off 1or2 leaves which are covering the flowers & leave the shoots intact.

you can but these will be next year's stems that will carry the flowers.
