any small spring bulbs would look wonderful, Anemone blanda, crocus, snowdrops, mini daffs, early tulips. Aubretia to tumble down the walls, or similar.
violas/violets/pansies or primula types would work too.
then for summer things like the carpeting campanulas or dwarf phlox, ageratum Alyssium.
