I really hope I’m not repeating myself with this question - a habit I’ve got into of lately
I have 27 sticks of rhubarb growing, all about a foot long and all red, but only one of these is more than 10mm thick ( 3/8 of an inch to some of you guys ? )see the example below.
Dare I really ask my daughter to make me a crumble with them or should they go in the compost bin ?
I’ve looked after them properly and have no idea why they’re so thin.

I just answered this and it has disappeared into the ether! Your rhubarb looks perfectly edible to me. I hazard a guess it's skinnyness is due to the extreme heat we have been getting so don't be embarrassed to ask your daughter to make a crumble, yummy!
