Have you looked closely at the backs of the leaves? Our Loniceras are all smothered in aphids and look very sad and sticky.

Yes they are all covered in shiny sticky stuff with aphids on the backs of the leaf, any cure ? although with 3 well grown plants there is a hell of a lot to deal with my evergreen honeysuckle is fine. is soap and water good for aphids or is it to late for that? Thank you

Its never too late to try.What you really need is some ladybirds but they don't appear to order unfortunately! But lacking ladybirds try a really good spraying with soapy water for starters. Its hardly ever too late to try and if you don't try you will never succeed.

Don't forget to do it again in 2 weeks time to get the ones which hatch from eggs laid now.
