it is indeed Chelone obliqua, I've had it in my garden for well over 15 years now. Good strong plant that doesn't need staking.

Funnily enough, it is one plant which I have never managed to keep alive.

How strange OWD as I regularly thin it out for sale on the plant table in our garden group.
I have it is semi damp shade.
