Raised sleeper bed needs plants to soften the front edge. I plan Hakonachloa for the front corners, and maybe something with small white flowers to trail down the front. All ideas warmly welcomed.

I have a low-retaining wall and I find that Thymes cascade and soften the edges.

Snow-in-summer? Just looked at some pics, Sheila. Or Alyssum, I have the latter on the rockery.

Thanks Kate, Alyssum is a good idea. I’m thinking of putting in a couple of Erigeron while I do a bit more research 🙂.

Just found Gypsophila Rosenschleier while browsing Gardens Illustrated Sept 2020(!) before recycling … looks a perfect cascading plant.
Thanks everyone for your ideas 🙂.

I wrote to Garden Answers with this question but also wondering if there was something that looked like cherry blossom. They suggested putting Deutzia ‘Cherry Blossom’ nearby, and said my query will be published in the January 2024 edition of the magazine!
