My Viburnum bodnantense has been in bud for about three weeks. As it is a winter-flowering shrub, I thought it must be hardy, but several buds appear to be frosted. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks Eileen and Klahanie, that’s very useful. I’ll be patient and hope to see some blooms before long.

Yes, be patient Sheila, and leave well alone. Klahanie has described my Scottish experience perfectly. And the weather in the South is…welcoming us home from the North by copying the Scottish winter!

Thanks Karen, luckily I was patient, and it is now blooming. However the next few days’ freezing temps will be a test!

Sheila the blooms might wilt, but it just seems to produce more, so don’t worry!

I wouldn't worry, it is hardy. I'd just leave them alone as they may not be that badly frosted.
