Please could you tell me what I have grown from seed?! I'm pretty sure that one tray has Delphinium, but would love to know what the others are.

Might the top ones be Malva moschata? The ones I am growing from seed gifted by you!

Thanks Owd but not that. I have plenty of Nigella growing in the garden so don’t want any more!
Shirley the leaves are quite similar but I think the top tray ones are delphinium. Thanks anyway!

Such a mystery!

Sheila, I have just watered the Hibiscus trionum (you gifted me the seed) and wonder if this could be your top tray I.D.?

Thanks Shirley, but it’s the second tray that really has me puzzled … maybe in a few weeks time there’ll be flowers which will give us the answer?

the bottom tray look like larkspur to me. Does that help.
but the top don't look like the delphiniums I have grown from seed before. They remind me of Malva moschata or even holly hocks.

Eileen, thank you! Yes, I think larkspur could well be right. They have another name, don’t they, “something” Daisy? Also, now that you mention hollyhocks, I did collect seed from some Alceae which are in the hollyhock family, so maybe that’s what they are.
Well, I do have an empty seed packet labelled Delphinium, but time will tell!
I’m very grateful for all your helpful suggestions. x

I know them as annual delphiniums but there are lots of common names for many plants. Glad I may have solved the conundrum.

Just been in my greenhouse and looked more carefully at the empty seed packets. The one headed Delphinium had two other words, then (larkspur) in brackets. Note to self, be more alert!
Thanks again Eileen …

I've a feeling I sent you the seeds of my blue larkspurs Sheila?
We're you thinking of Swan River Daisy? I sent you those seeds many moons ago. x

Many thanks Janey, yes you did send me the seeds and the seedlings are doing well. It was Swan River that I couldn’t remember! x
