Help with mahonia please I planted my mahonia out from a pot in April

Can we see a closer view of the leaves please?

Have the white streaks appeared after being green or did they start off white. Can't tell if it is variegation or damage.
Some leaves look as if they have been eaten slugs or leaf miners.

a closer look would help.

You for your help I’ve tried to update the question with better photos but can’t see where the update has gone ?it ! No the leaves all looked perfectly green to start with. They have got worse as there are actual splits in the leaves now

Something has scraped the surface of the leaf away, exposing the inside where there is no chlorophyl. Either molluscs or possibly, as said, leaf miners.
Ugly, but not life threatening.
