Now is the ideal time to take cuttings. Cut off a healthy shoot about 9inches long. Trim off all the leaves except for the top three and remove any buds from below this, too. Prepare a piece of soil with blood, fish and bone and push the cutting in for 2inches. Firm it in well, water it and leave until spring. It should grow new leaves then but should be left alone until next autumn, when you can move it if needed.
