How about Eonymous, Gold or green, Varigated foliage.

Lonicera nitida 'Twiggy' is a nice compact, clippable evergreen though the foliage is a coppery gold-green. If you are looking for a green compact plant, perhaps Euonymus japonicus 'Microphyllus' may be an alternative.

The Lonicera is the easiest though and better than the better known Lonicera 'Baggescens Gold'.

How about Teucrium fruticans? This has purple flowers too.

to enlarge on Julien's suggestion above, Euonymus microphyllus in particular - comes in variegated white or variegated yellow.
