I would love to know what this arching shrub is. Growing on an open site in our village, it has mid-green Berberis like leaves with these beautiful rosy-peach coloured berries in the autumn.

Thanks Phil....thought it probably was, the colour of the berries makes it so noticeable now.

Think it may be B. carminea, it ties in with the leaf colour and translucent berries....thanks again Phil.

It's a berberis, possibly B. aggregata, but there are many hybrids and cultivars. Phil
