If you can find it, go for the named clone 'Atlantic' as this flowers and fruits quicker as a young plant.

Useful plant, as it's probably the only member of the ericaceous plants that tolerates chalky soils. Phil

Hello Milky, I am a very new membe who has just started using a computer after many years and I am enjoying it lot's, as i am sure I will enjoy this great site and meeting people like you. I would like to ask you if I should prune a clematis and when. This one is spring flowering and has a very beautiful pure flower which lasts only a short time. Also it is in a 16inch pot. Do you think the pot is suitable? I hope I am not too much trouble. bredakelly

Hi Maureen, I asked you once if you could identify a Clematis ( Without a photo , which was daft ) which I had growing in a 16" pot and was rather sickly. Well I have removed it from the pot and planted it in the earth and it is looking great so I am now waiting eagerly for next spring. I do so hope it gives a good show as the flower is sooooo lovely. Hope all is going well for you in all aspects of your life. Take care.

Breda. Xx
