I live in Zone 5, and my rosemary plants never survive the winter. Is there a type that will?

I don't have an answer for you, Bari but I expect there will be another member who will :) I just wanted to welcome you to GoY...hope you will feel free to blog and post photos... we're all a friendly bunch :)

I'm a fellow B.C.'er but now live in the UK. Nice to see you here...there are a few other B.C. members on the site too.

No, there is no rosemary that will survive in zone 5 even with winter protection. You can dig up your plant and pot it up to bring indoor over the winter if you want to keep it.

Maybe pot it up anyway then it is moveable when bad weather strikes! Welcome to Goy. :~)

Or you can keep it in a pot permanently, and plunge it in the soil spring-fall. Just prune it a little when you dig it out in the fall, to compensate for the loss of the roots that grew through the drain hole.

How do I say thanks?
