I live in Zone 5, and my rosemary plants never survive the winter. Is there a type that will?

No, there is no rosemary that will survive in zone 5 even with winter protection. You can dig up your plant and pot it up to bring indoor over the winter if you want to keep it.

Maybe pot it up anyway then it is moveable when bad weather strikes! Welcome to Goy. :~)

Or you can keep it in a pot permanently, and plunge it in the soil spring-fall. Just prune it a little when you dig it out in the fall, to compensate for the loss of the roots that grew through the drain hole.
