I'm fairly sure this is a Hebe, It looks like it may be a common variety, but if anyone can identify it I would be happy. You may suggest I wait till it flowers and photograph it again and I would be happy to do so.

Yes it is a Hebe, also looks like the cultivar 'Topiaria' but not absolutely sure.

I agree it's a Hebe. I think it's Emerald Gem, also known as Emerald green, Green Globe and lots of other aliases. Some sources say it doesn't flower, others say it occasionally produces a few white flowers.

Not Green Globe or Emerald Green, Beattie - I have those, and the leaves on this are too large. More likely topiaria, as Bluespruce says.

Thanks. I've Googled the name toparia and found a description which says 'The leaves are closely packed, in matching pairs, each pair stacked at right aangles to the preceding pair' This is exactly what mine does.
