good morning, could anyone help me decide what to do with my flag irises, they have made about 12 inches of growth, but its a bit bedragled and brown at the top should I cut this back now or leave it please? thanking you in anticpation, stuck my nose out yesterday in the garden ugh!! what a lot of work, so sad I have lost quite a lot as well. happy gardening all.

I agree with Leigh, it's at this time of year dead parts on your plants will protect the new growth underneath until frosts have gone in the spring.

i would leave it a while till you get some better growth then cut the rough stuff of myself .
