When to cut back a false acacia tree

Please can you advise what is the right time of year to cut back this tree. We were led to believe that the spring was the right time to avoid frost getting in - our neighbours are disagreeing and becoming quite unpleasant

Hello. Why are your neighbours becoming unpleasant about your False Acacia tree, may I ask? If any branches cross their boundry, they may by law, cut them back to the boundry and give them back to you. I would say that it is YOUR tree and you must prune it (or not) whenever you wish. I hope this helps you. I did look up online about when to prune this tree and it did not specify, I am afraid. So, it is up to you.

We have these in our garden and they are big. I chop branches off if they are a nuisance, taking light from other plants or overhanging. These trees produce so much fast growth that nothing seems to deter them. I cut any time during the Summer or Autumn as needed.

My bible says you should prune in late summer or early autumn to prevent the tree bleeding
