im makin a memorial garden for my mum,ive put roses in but would love to know if there are fast growing hardy plants i can use in clay soil

Clay soils are not that difficult, how about hardy geraniums and bulbs to start you off. A lot more depends on whether the garden is in sun, shade or a mixture.
