Another unknown tree

Further to my answer on other photo think these look like epaulettes ? Pterostyrax - epaulette tree.

The only pictures I can find of the seeds look more like a hairy plum than the things shown herem but thanks anyway.

I think it is a rather old bract and seed of Davidia involucrata, the Handkerchief tree, what do you think?

I'm going to suggest something less exotic: Tilia cordata or one of the other species of Tilia.
