I noticed while walking around my garden that wasn't planted this year, this flower just now blooming. Any ideas what it is?

Looks like an antirrhinum (snapdragon or bunnies mouth). They seed themselves.

How interesting, thank you.

I often get them popping up in odd places in the garden - maybe the birds do it, or maybe the wind - who knows. I just accept them with gratitude.

I shall indeed accept them with gratitude Spritzhenry.
Actually is it possible to dig it up and put it in a better spot?

Hmmm. I haven't tried. I don't think it would respond well, but you could always give it a go!

They do pop up all over my garden too. I have moved some before they have flowered, as they have a habit of popping up in my paths. I also leave the seed heads to mature in the hope of more. The only drawback is they are all the same colour, so this year I bought some seeds to expand the range of colours.

How do I say thanks?
