Should I deadhead my Pieris and how?

My Pieris finished flowering some time ago - somebody must have forgotten to tell it to wait! But there is no need to deadhead the flowers, they fall and just leave very fine little stems that you wouldn't notice. Just as long as you remember that the flowers are white sprays, and don't confuse them with the new red leaves.

I would be highly surprised if your Pieris has flowered yet. Do not remove the coloured bracts they will fade from red to pink to cream to green as the season progresses. They are actually leaves!
