GERANIUMS WINTER STORAGE!!!!

I have put several geraniums in the hanging baskets in a greenhouse is this enough to keep them for the winter period until next may!!!! should they be watered over the winter time if they dry out???? do they need any special treatment

I would wrap your geraniums in newspaper same as my fuchsias put inbox and stick inyour loft untill Spring.
Or if you have a window sill take geraniums indoors and not in your greenhouse too cold for them.
You can grow your geraniums all yr indoors then take outdoors in Spring and summer good luck.

Agree with Scotkat, unless your greenhouse has a heater....I pot mine up and bring indoors on a windowsill (spare room will suffice) water infrequently just to keep ticking over.

Hello Ladygardener,
Go by the weight of the baskets, if light, water 1pt. of water on a sunny day. Keep clean, watch out for grey mould. Dust with green sulphur.
Cover baskets with a sheet of newspaper in very frosty weather.
