What trees do i need to pollinate a Redlane apple tree, can anybody help me. XXX

Apples are either diploid or triploid. What this means is that if they are diploid you need another apple tree a few gardens away like Cammomile says to be in flower at the same time, so the bees and insects visit one and then visit another and hey presto you get apples.
Triploids need three apples flowering at the same time and I think Bramleys are triploids.

According to the info. on my Redlove apples, you need another apple tree within 30 metres of yours, and it didn't say it had to be a specific apple type.
