I have a small blossom tree in garden and the follage is all covered in small black insect eggs. How do I get rid of this?

I agree. If you rub them off with your fingers, wear rubber gloves, because they're very squidgy and messy! The hose is much better, and give it another go after a few days. Annie (Cumbria)

Could this be little black aphids? They can be blasted off with a fierce hose or sprayed with insecticide, if you don't mind chemicals. Or rub off with fingers or leave for the ladybirds and blue tits.
