have put ant powder on to a new rhubarb plant. have l contaminated it?

Hi Largepansy, no, I wouldn't have thought so, but just to be safe, I'd hose it down with loads of water and don't pick any for a while. It will have finished fruiting soon, anyway, and by next year it should be OK. Annie (Cumbria)

Annie is probably right, but just in case, it would be good to know what the active ingredient in the ant powder was.

The active ingredients should be listed on the can, usually on the front label.
