My friend has a Tree of Heaven throwing up suckers all over her lawn. Due to illness she has been unable to keep the lawn mowed regularly. Can anyone help with suggestions for a suitable weedkiller?

What on earth is a tree of heaven ..... ?
I googled it and it's actually an Alianthus, here is some information that will help you, it's a very large tree and suckers madly.
