Tring to find a plant name...

I'm looking to buy a bush that used to grow in my grandpa's garden. It has large white pansy - like flowers which last only for a day. I'm new to gardening and dont know how to find out the name of it...

I think Hillyc is right. There are taller varieties, I think the flowers may last a little longer than a day.

I've just googled Cistus ladanifer and it is a lovely little shrub, well worth a place in your garden

Hi Jennys.You dont say whether its evergreen or not but if it is is sounds as if it could be Cistus ladanifer. It grows to about 6', has papery white bloooms and rather sticky small leaves.
