Help! I've got orange speckles on the leaves and some stems of my 'Salix kilmarnock'. They don't look like insect eggs but more like a mould or fungus. Plant is healthy for now but I was wondering if there was anything I should do and if it is harmful to the plant.

Thankyou for that, Bamboo. My one has the same problem.

A thorough clean up under the tree in the fall will probably delay its return next spring, and may reduce the severity.

Its rust - these plants are particularly prone to it. Spray with a suitable fungicide, underside and topside of the leaves, till run off. Keep it handy for next year and spray at the very first hint of its appearing - you can only achieve control, not destroy the rust completely.
